It appears that Jennifer Lopez is still holding on to a long-running diva beef with fellow singer Mariah Carey. We’re hearing reports that suggest that Jennifer’s manager Benny Medina left her and then managed Mariah, but wanted back into Jennifer’s life – but J-Lo wasn’t having any part of it.
A source said that there is a “no Mariah” clause in Jennifer’s contract with Benny Medina. The insider said, “She had it written in that he can’t manage Mariah.”
Lopez has been with Medina since 2008.
The powerhouse manager helped revive her career with a judging gig on “American Idol.”
In addition, Lopez launched her first world tour and a Las Vegas residency under Medina’s watch. Carey, who also has a Vegas residency, has gone through several managers since severing ties with Medina.
But an exec at the Medina Co. told Page Six, “Benny is not restricted, contractually or otherwise, from managing Mariah Carey or any other artists.” An insider in Carey’s camp said they “didn’t know anything about it,” but chuckled.
Isn’t that taking things just a little too far?
