I never thought I would say this, but I kind of feel badly for Khloe Kardashian. She filed for divorce from Lamar Odom and as the papers were sitting on a desk waiting for a judge’s signature, he ends up hospitalized in a coma after suffering from twelve strokes. She did what any decent human being would do and rushed to be by his side and help him during his recovery.
She was already in the process of her book’s release and had contracted with People magazine to appear on their cover that was released yesterday. Some have blasted her for what they refer to as her being opportunistic, but I just don’t feel that’s the case here.
Prior to releasing their cover and her story yesterday, the folks over at People gave her a call to get an update on things going on in her life. She talked to them for a whopping five minutes and now everyone is getting on her case – saying that she’s using Lamar’s tragedy to promote her book. Seriously, people?
I mean, I wouldn’t put it past Kris Jenner to do a publicity tour in these same circumstances, but I’ve never felt that Khloe could be so heartless to put herself first in a time like this. She did her interview with the magazine on October 13th – hours before Lamar was taken to the hospital.
She took to her Twitter account to blast those who called her opportunistic. She tweeted, “I want to make this VERY clear…. My people cover, I shot and interviewed for PRIOR to all the events that happened. PART 1” followed by, “It was contracted press for my book that I wrote months and months ago. Timing is what it is. PART 2.”
Shame on you all for thinking the worst of me. It’s been a tough few weeks. I don’t need your f*cked up energy!
Know the facts before you throw stones
I had to do a follow up 5 minute phoner after the events only because I was contracted to. I cancelled my book tour to avoid this attention.
To the ones who uplift and send love…. I love you more! I appreciate the support. Have a great day babies! Kisses and hugs
What side do you believe?
