Kylie and Kendall Jenner are facing a lawsuit over the PacSun from a clothing brand called Island Company who claims the girls stole their trademarked logo. Island Company is a resort lifestyle retailer in West Palm Beach, Florida. They claim in the lawsuit documents that the Jenner sisters and PacSun stole their phrase: “Quit your job. But a ticket. Get a tan. Fall in love. Never return.”
They company is suing the Jenners after they released a shirt with the phrase: “Run away. Fall in love. Never return.”
Island says the Jenners’ version, “is likely to cause confusion, mistake and deception among consumers, the public and the trade as to whether defendants’ products or services are affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by plaintiff,” in the complaint obtained by Page Six. Island’s threads have been spotted on the likes of Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Johnny Depp.
They’ve used their trademark phrase since 2005 and want the Jenners and PacSun to eliminate it from their clothing. Reps for the Jenners didn’t get back to us.
Do you think they have a case?
