Janet Jackson’s fans can’t be happy after posting pictures of her concert on their Instagram feeds only to be sent a legal warning from the social networking service.
Jackson is in the middle of her “Unbreakable” tour and fans have claimed that they’ve gotten emails from Instagram saying “a third party reported that the content violates their copyright.”
One fan said that the day after the concert, her entire account was erased without warning. She said, “Without warning. Every. Single. Photo. Gone.”
Another source said they experienced the same problem and received “five emails from Instagram…about the five videos I had posted. It seems like Miss Jackson’s team is on fire. What a shame they don’t understand the times we live in.”
A rep for Instagram insists that it’s just a bug. Their rep said, “We have identified a bug that resulted in the removal of accounts that shouldn’t have been removed. We have fixed the bug and are in the process of restoring the impacted accounts.”
