If you were shipping Daryl and Carol in “The Walking Dead”, then you probably shouldn’t hold your breath. Norman Reedus has opened up about the character he plays on the hit AMC show and as it turns out, love is the last thing that’s in the air for Daryl Dixon. Boo!
In a new interview with Details, Reedus talked about the prospect of love for Daryl.
“Even this season, I’m the last in line for love,” Reedus, 46, told the mag with a laugh. “I like not going through that door one way or another. I like that mystery.”
So for all of those hoping that the ruggedly handsome, crossbow-toting survivor and Melissa McBride’s tough-as-nails Carol finally become an item after seasons of amazing chemistry, keep on writing your fanfic and hoping that Daryl continues to survive against walkers and some seriously bad humans. After all, the hit AMC series is known for killing off major characters without hesitation.
“They’ll kill me whenever they want,” he noted. “I would hate to leave the show. I would play this role until I’m 80, I really would. And I could.”
And I was seriously hoping that Daryl and Carol would be a thing. Ugh.
