Kanye West has such delusions of grandeur that it would take eight hundred therapists a hundred years to sort them all out. Alas, we don’t have that kind of time or resources, so we’re subjected to ‘Ye saying things like “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” should win some Emmy Awards. Can you imagine?
He said, “I feel proud to be in a family that has, you know, so many people breaking ground for generations to come. It’s so f**king new of an art form that my wife and my family should’ve had plenty of Emmys by now.”
He went on to say, “Reality shows are considered to be like rap was when the Mondrian [Hotel] wouldn’t let Run DMC and motherf**king Will Smith stay there because they were rappers.”
He continued saying that he couldn’t grasp, “The idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated for their show, even if it’s the longest-running and the most popular.”
He added, “Everybody I know watches it.”
The reality show, which is produced by Ryan Seacrest, has been on the air since 2007 and has been recognized repeatedly by the Teen Choice Awards. KUWTK has generated multiple spin-offs, including Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloé & Lamar, and Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons, as well as the networkââ¬â¢s newest series Dash Dolls, which premiered last month.
During a recent Season 10 episode of KUWTK, West was shown trying to explain to the cameramen how to frame the shot. In November 2013, West revealed during an interview with Hot 97 that he previously chose to not appear on the show because he didnââ¬â¢t ââ¬Åparticularly like the way the producers [filmed] some of the shots.ââ¬Â
ââ¬ÅWhen we got engaged, I made sure the show was there [filming] because I felt like that was something that would make [Kim] happy,ââ¬Â he explained of his change of heart in 2013. ââ¬ÅRegardless of how it was shot, I felt like this is a moment she would like to have and would like to share, and just have that documented. And we could decide later or not to air it.”
