A source has revealed that the District Attorney’s office is gearing up for a secret grand jury to charge Nick Gordon with the murder of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
The DA’s office in Georgia is looking to get murder charges to stick against Gordon and the source says that criminal charges could come very soon.
The DA does not know what the charges will be yet, but they want to go for murder charges, the source explains to Us, adding that Gordon will be charged with criminal charges “very soon.” The DA is also consulting with legal experts to see if murder charges would stick, the insider continues.
Gordon, 25, has been accused of wrongful death in an amended lawsuit filed by Brown’s conservator Bedelia Hargrove. In the lawsuit, which seeks at least $10 million in damages, Gordon is accused of giving Brown a “toxic cocktail” the night of Jan. 31, which left her “unconscious” and ultimately led to her July 26 death at age 22. Gordon is also accused of beating Brown, the daughter of singer Bobby Brown, and withdrawing funds from her accounts.
“We will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown,” Hargrove told Us in a statement in July.
We’ve previously reported that the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has already determined the cause of death in this tragedy, but the information was ordered to be sealed by a judge.
