Blake Shelton talks fast divorce from Miranda Lambert

After ten years of marriage, country singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced that they were divorcing. Now, he says that they’re still good friends.

He said, “Our whole thing was: You know, we’re just going to be cool about this. It is what it is. We’re buddies.”

Shelton also talked about the many divorce rumors that popped up, stating that there wasn’t any real news of their divorce until everything was all said and done. He said, “We knew if rumblings and rumors started coming out, they would be just that. By the time anybody knew anything, it was over – it was done.”

He recalled it being a quick and easy process, as well. He said, “In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Miranda and I didn’t have any kids, and we had our prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in a nine or ten day waiting period.”

Still, he said that he had to pull a funny prank on the paparazzi after his divorce was made public. He was seen in the parking lot on the set of “The Voice” pushing a baby stroller. Of that, he said, “I was like ‘Screw those guys; I’m going out there and am gonna give ’em something to talk about.’ So I said, put that bottle of vodka in that stroller, and I’m gonna push it out to the car.”

A source close to the country singer said that he’s not yet ready to put himself back out there. The spy said, “I think he’s open to another relationship in the future, but just not now. He’s friendly with everyone, but he’s not carrying on with women. He’s taking time for himself right now.”
