Ariana Grande has revealed that she wasn’t so heartbroken over her split with her boyfriend of eight months, Big Sean, because they have remained friends.
She said, “I’m good at making the best out of something. It also wasn’t that hard for me, because we were friends. So it’s chill.”
She has since been dating her backup dancer, but said that she doesn’t want her personal life to overshadow her career. She revealed, “I would prefer to be referred to as just Ariana. But then some people were being like, what a hypocrite, because now she has a new boyfriend. But they’re still missing the point. It doesn’t matter whether I’m on my own or not. Whatever I decide to do with my body, with my heart, and with my life, I can still be my own person.”
Still, she said that despite going through a breakup, she doesn’t consider herself an expert on the topic. She added, “I’m not going to pretend I have great breakup advice. It’s hard. Good luck. You’ll be fine. You don’t need anyone. It’s nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it’s nice to be happy on your own as well. You don’t need to depend on another person for your happiness. That person can contribute to your happiness, but you’re two whole beings on your own.”
