Aw, man. The entertainment community has lost a legend.
Iconic horror director Wes Craven lost an ongoing battle with brain cancer on Sunday, dying peacefully in his home in Martha’s Vineyard.
Best known for the Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream franchises, his iconic Freddy Krueger character haunted movei-goers for years. Anyone who dug any of the five Nightmare on Elm Street films and of course the Scream series feels this loss, but really- he was a pioneer in horror entertainment and will be missed by directors, cinephiles and scare fans alike.
He was 76.
