Miley Cyrus threw some serious shade at Taylor Swift in a The New York Times interview…and something tells me hell’s gonna break loose.

“I’m not trying to be in the squad,” said Cyrus, who hosted the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Aug. 30. “None of my friends are famous and not because of any other reason than I just like real people who are living real lives, because I’m inspired by them.”

Swift, 25, on the other hand, has made becoming part of the squad a thing. During the wild awards show, the 1989 songstress took over the red carpet and stage with her BFFs and “Bad Blood” costars, including Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, and more, to accept her big win for their music video earning Video of the Year.

Not to be outdone, Cyrus, 22, released a free 23-track album titled Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz via her website after the show.

“People were like, ‘Well, she’s got some good people twisting the knobs to help her break out,’” Cyrus recalled of first starting in the business. “Now it’s been long enough where they’re like, ‘No one’s telling her what to do.’” Case in point: her wild VMAs performance on Sunday, which involved an army of drag queens, a song about smoking pot, and Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne shooting a smoke cannon through her legs.

“He’s everything in the world — you can’t even define us,” Cyrus said of her relationship with Coyne. “I am 100 percent in love with Wayne, and Wayne is in love with me, but it’s nothing sexual in any way. That would be the grossest.”

Okay, let me get this straight- Miley Cyrus doesn’t want to e in the squad, but she IS kinda platonically in love with the Flaming Lips frontman? There’s a lot going on inside that little Nashville head o hers.

Your move, Taylor.
