Caitlyn Jenner owes The L.A. County D.A. a fruit basket….at LEAST.
The attorneys in the Major Crimes unit reviewed a 161-page report by the LA County Sheriff’s Dept that SWEARS Jenner braked several seconds before impact in an attempt to avoid hitting a Lexus on PCH in February that, as you know, killed the driver. TMZ reports:
The D.A. could file misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges because Jenner violated the speed law by not slowing down quickly enough. But the D.A. doesn’t automatically file criminal charges because a driver was inattentive. It usually has to be more than simple negligence to trigger a prosecution.
It’s interesting … the D.A. did not charge an L.A. County Sheriff’s deputy who was typing on his patrol car computer last year and drifted into a bike lane killing a man, so it seems unlikely they’d file against Jenner, who was not on the phone or texting.
The D.A. is making a decision within a week about this whole tragic incident, which happened almost a year ago. Caitlyn has had some ups and downs this year…it would certainly be an interesting turn to see our favorite reality star go Orange is the new Black. But it’s probably not gonna happen, thanks to a crack team of LA govt officials.
Do you think she should go to jail for this?
