Amber Rose’s picture was apparently used in order for a company to lure unsuspecting women into a prostitution ring. That’s pretty messed up, no?
A shady company out there was using Amber’s image to find models for what they called a “paid celebrity photo shoot and clothing line.”
One of the ladies involved filed a police report blowing the whole thing open on Monday. Those who responded to the Instagram ad were told that Amber had a good say in who would be picked for the modeling jobs. The company also used an old UStream video of Amber and told the victims that they were in a FaceTime call with her.
After that, the models were informed that if they went on dates with men selected by the company, it would help them along in their careers. During that time, they were asked via text message if they would have sex with the men.
Wow, talk about bad luck getting your name associated with that kind of craziness. Amber fans don’t fret, though, because she has taken to her Twitter account to talk about the whole mess.
She tweeted, “If ur receiving emails or Text from firstname.lastname@example.org dat ain’t me Bih.”
She followed that up with: “Apparently that email has been Facetiming my fans 2 with an old ustream I did then hanging up saying they have bad reception smh”.
Amber added, “Tricky F*cks….. Very creative tho. I’ll give them that.”
So shady to get her name involved in that. It’s a good thing that the LAPD is investigating!
