Always a bridesmaid, Nick.

Nick Viall might’ve seemed dickish as runner up on The Bachelorette, but he respectfully spilled some pretty juicy deets about the season to former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky in an interview published on her blog today.

He revealed that he and Bristowe said “I love you” in private frequently: “We told each other a bunch of times,” he told Fedotowsky. “I was very lucky that… obviously, there’s the fantasy suite, but she requested a lot of extra time. We really enjoyed our private time together.”

He was”very surprised” Bristowe used the L word: “She’s not allowed to say that, even technically in private,” he noted, as seasoned Bachelor pro Fedotowsky nodded in response.

Viall also had Bristowe’s phone number before he appeared on the series: “That was the one thing that was different,” she said. “I didn’t have the phone numbers of any of the guys on my season so I couldn’t contact them even if I wanted to.”

On moving forward: “I spent the past three months really just focusing on moving forward. It took a lot out of me, and all of my energy has been focused on [healing]. After last night, I think anyone would feel really lucky to be considered. It’s obviously an incredible opportunity.”

This interview makes Nick seem like a good dude, even though I did not like his weird baby face and annoying bravado when he was on the show. What do you think- was Bristowe being shady when she told Nick she loved him?
