More Ridiculous Nonsense Care Of Stacey Dash

It’s Friday, which, like any day, means Stacey Dash is spouting garbage on her twitter.

Dash takes a weird hard line to race and gender issues, instead of actually acknowledging that there are some isses that are fairly out of human control, and left in the misogynistic, sexist hands of society.  She basically says that complaining about the wage gap is “an excuse… It’s the same thing with race, it’s an excuse. Stop making excuses.” Dash also thinks voicing issues makes women “victims,” saying that if women want to make the same kind of money that men make, they need to be “the best” and “be extraordinary.”

I know, I know, Stacey- beloved Stacey Dash of Clueless fame- is an idiot.

She’s been retweeting some of the “hate” she’s gotten, as well as some of the support. Here’s a nice melange of confusing for you to chew on:

I’m for equality of OPPORTUNITY. NOT equality of OUTCOME. That is the FALSE PROMISE of Liberalism. It is a con on society.

Hey @meredithvieira, look what we did! I love you and I respect you. Thank you for having me on the @MeredithShow! #FriendsCanDisagree

I am not ANTI-WOMAN! I just don’t believe that my gender needs a bunch of men in Congress to ‘save us’ from the big bad world.

The 77 cents vs a dollar is based on B.S. statistics. STOP USING IT. CELEBRATE that EDUCATED women in their 20’s now make more than men!

What do you think of Stacey’s controversial views? Do they make her seem as ignorant as I think she is?

Stacey isn’t exactly ignorant, she just doesn’t know how best to express herself. The facts are true that women “in general” make 78 cents to the dollar that men make when factoring similar age groups but not occupations. When studies are done on men vs women in the same age group AND occupation the pay is equal or often women come out slightly ahead.

The fact that men tend to work in more STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) type jobs which in general pay much more than average it’s not to hard to figure out why there is a pay discrepancy when you don’t factor in occupation.

Anytime the Government makes something an “entitlement class” it usually is to their detriment and is only used as a political whipping post to garner votes/money while in the long run hurting the “entitlement class” they are trying to help along with taxpayers. e.g. for the last 50 years the “war on poverty” has cost taxpayers 22 trillion dollars yet the rate of poverty has hovered around 12-15% since 1970 with almost no change. In the last 30 years spending has doubled per person on welfare programs yet the rate has still remained the same.

not ignorant. I totally agree with her. you may not like her method or way with words but the message is dead on. society loves a cop out or crutch or excuse. I think that’s all she means.
