'After Earth' Premiere At Ziegfeld Theatre

Well this is concerning.  Apparently Will Smith, and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith are being investigated by child protective services, after a picture of their daughter Willow Smith, 13, was posted on social media.  The picture depicts Willow lying in bed with her ‘friend,’ actor Moises Arias, 20.  Jada has already defended the image, stating that there was ‘nothing sexual about it,’ though apparently Los Angeles Department of Children And Family Services disagrees as it has launched an official investigation.  (You can see the picture here and decide for yourself.)

Moises posted the picture earlier this month on social media. It was then noticed on their friend Kylie Jenner‘s Tumblr account, leading to a media furor.

When asked about the photo, Jada lashed out at photographers and videographers as she arrived at Los Angeles Internation Airport on May 7.

Speaking in a video on TMZ she said: ‘Here’s the deal. There was nothing sexual about that picture of that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it … and your acting like covert paedophiles and that’s not cool.’

The Hollywood couple of 15 years considered the image – which has since been taken down – as ‘an expression of art’ and ‘innocent fun.’

‘We don’t do punishment,’ Will told Metro last year.

Everyone parents differently – and perhaps the image was just innocent fun.  But what does a 20-year old have in common with a 13-year old?  Really?  Kids grow up too fast these days as it is.  I can’t even imagine the Hollywood set.  Let’s let kids be kids as long as they can be.
