Oh, Chris Brown. Sweet, peaceful, law-abiding and not-at-all violent man that he is just can’t seem to catch a break this time around. You see, after he was kicked out of rehab last month for breaking several rules, he was thrown in jail due to, you know, violating his probation yet again. He’s due to stay there until April 23rd, and while he was trying to buy his way out of prison, that little tactic didn’t work this time and in fact, the US Marshal has actually taken over his custody and will be putting him on a federal prison plane to head to DC to stand trial for the assault he performed there.
Chris Brown has just been picked up by federal marshals on what will be one of the longest journeys across the country since the prop plane era … TMZ has learned.
Sources connected with the case tell us Chris is on his way to a federal holding facility in San Bernardino to begin his long trip to Washington D.C. … where he will stand trial for assault.
Later today Chris will board a airplane — guarded by U.S. Marshals and appropriately restrained — but the flight is NOT a non-stop. In fact, we’re told there are so many stops he probably won’t get there until Sunday.
We’re told all of these flights go through Oklahoma, with stops along the way to pick up other prisoners.
I know it’s not particularly kind to partake in schaudenfreude, but oh man, do I love this news. It’s slightly over-the-top, but somehow, considering Chris Brown is the subject, it seems just fitting, doesn’t it?
