Emma Watson looks gorgeous at the UK premiere of ‘Noah,’ÃÂ earlier today. ÃÂ I think I’ve mentioned how much I like her. ÃÂ A great actress and a seemingly good head on her shoulders. ÃÂ A child star who has made the graceful transition to an adult actress without any colossal meltdowns or scandals.
Have you been to see the movie? ÃÂ ‘Noah’ÃÂ was the No. 1 at the box office this past weekend, bringing in about $44 million. ÃÂ My parents saw it and said it was really well done. ÃÂ The opening marks star, Russell Crowe’s second highest opening of his career and he is earning mostly positive reviews for his performance.
The Times’ Kenneth Turan called Crowe a “fiercely masculine presence” who “also provides the film with some unexpected, if inevitably overwrought, emotional cliffhanger moments.”
Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote that “Crowe ably conveys the oppressive weight of Noah’s responsibility, the burden of enacting God’s will,” and Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal wrote, “the film gambles on its star being able to preserve the hero’s humanity without softening his fury. In doing just that, Mr. Crowe achieves something close to an acting miracle.”
