Emma Watson is featured in the April issue of Elle, and comes off just as gorgeous and likable as ever. I love her. She always seems so genuine, she is clearly brilliant and has always made her education a priority despite her huge star power, and she picks great roles.
Though she’s clearly successfully transitioned from child to adult star, Watson tells the magazine that growing up in the spotlight — during puberty — was rough. “There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being,” she said. “And I’m so jealous!”
She later goes on to explain how maintaining life outside of her career is important for her.
“I remember reading this thing that Elizabeth Taylor wrote. She had her first kiss in character. On a movie set. It really struck me,” Watson told Elle. “I don’t know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn’t really careful, that could be me. That my first kiss could be in somebody else’s clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.”
While best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, she was awesome in Perks of Being a Wallflower. We will next see Watson in the biblical epic film, Noah, which is to be released later this month. The $125 million film is directed by Darren Aronofsky. I love her, and I’m sure the film is going to be so major, but I’m not really dying to see it. I wish I could look as cute getting off a plane as she does.
