Julia Roberts claims Jennifer Lawrence is “too cool” to be America’s sweetheart!

Julia Roberts is currently promoting her new movie, “August: Osage County,” and has been doing interviews with various outlets. While talking to MTV, she was asked whether or not Jennifer Lawrence could join herself and the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock and Meg Ryan as ‘America’s Sweetheart.’

“I think she’s fabulous, but she seems cooler than me,” Roberts said of the “Hunger Games” starlet in an interview with MTV.

After all, Lawrence hasn’t even been in a real timeless romantic comedy. And she certainly hasn’t romanced or divorced an A-list actor… yet.

“She shoots flaming arrows,” Roberts, 46, joked. “Is this a new cupid tactic?”

Lawrence is clearly just taking a backward approach into being inducted. After starting off in grittier films like “Winter’s Bone” and the upcoming “American Hustle,” she could stand to do a few “Sleepless in Seattle” roles.

Meanwhile, the “Erin Brockovich” star moved from lighthearted “Pretty Woman” material, to heavy-hitting dramatic films later in her career.

“My card is expired, and I didn’t get a new one,” Roberts said.

Luckily, having starred in “America’s Sweethearts” in 2001 has earned her a lifetime spot.

I agree that I don’t see Jennifer Lawrence being America’s Sweetheart, and THANK GOD, right? I think that’s why we love her so much. She’s NOT your typical female actress. She makes smart movie choices, I haven’t seen a movie of hers that I don’t like!

Julia Roberts is just mad because everyone likes Jennifer Lawrence so incredibly much more than her.
