According to E! News, Beyonce has teamed up with Andre 3000 for a duet of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” for the soundtrack of the upcoming remake of ‘The Great Gatsby.’

Jay-Z is producing the soundtrack, which will be released by Interscope Records. “It’s a very different take on ‘Back to Black,'” a record company said.

This is Beyoncé and Andre 3000 second time working together. They first collaborated on Bey’s 2011 single, “Party.”

The new flick, directed by Baz Luhrman, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. Originally set to be in theaters last Christmas, the release was pushed to this May.

Gatsby will have its world premiere as the opening night film of the Cannes Film Festival on May 15.

I cannot WAIT for Gatsby to come out!! Below you’ll find the latest character posters that have just been released! Enjoy!

Oh god, that is horrible news. That gross whore is gonna ruin poor Amy’s song! Shameless whore!

They should just leave the song alone and put the original version by Amy herself in the movie.

Ugh! That’s an awful idea!

If Amy Winehouse were still alive, none of those sh*tpigs would touch her with a ten foot pole.

Amy was a phenomenal writer and a great(?) singer, but she became a total mess during the last couple years of her career. Now that she’s dead, no one can cover her songs? Puh-lease–it’s just not that serious. The only reason people are getting so excited about this is because BEYONCE is doing it. lol. Andre 3000 & Beyonce’s version of “Back to Black” is going to be COMPLETELY different and will only help to increase the sales of the ORIGINAL.

@ blerg

No one’s saying that “Amy’s music can’t be covered because she’s dead”. You sound like a crazy beyonce stan, misrepresenting the issue with a straw-man argument in order to shut down criticism.

What people ARE SAYING is that it’s a shitty idea for beyonce to cover Amy’s song. Amy’s original song would work just fine.
