A couple of minutes ago I reported that Shain Gandee, star of MTV’s ‘Buckwild’ had been reported missing by family members, after he didn’t return home Sunday morning.

Now TMZ reports that Shain was found dead in a vehicle in West Virginia this morning. The 21-year old was found with 2 other bodies.

Shain was last seen at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, when he and his uncle David Gandee left a bar and said they were going 4-wheeling. It’s not known if his 48-year-old uncle was one of the other dead people in the vehicle.

This is so sad. I had a feeling. 🙁

MTV needs to be stopped. Seriously. I know kids are going to be stupid – and do stupid things no matter what, but I feel like MTV glorifies stupidity in teenagers. How many of their “stars” have to die in order for there to be a change in programming??

I absolutely agree. The enabling has completely gone too far but it’s what people feed off of, so there is no yielding whatsoever. How can something get started that could begin some kind of realization, awareness or even just acknowledgment over this enormous issue.
And I mean the endangering and spoiling of all of these reality shows’ “stars” is bad enough, but how about the vast amount of influence this has on people, like gradeschool to college. People are being more and more influenced to be more like these “yolo” crazy drama and action packed lives they see constantly on tv.

That is really sad… he was the nice kid too. I feel for his parents.
