Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore reuniting for new romantic comedy!

I am not exactly sure how Adam Sandler is still allowed to make movies. I just DO NOT find his movies funny. I find them entirely UN-funny. He must have a lot of friends in Hollywood, because it stumps me.

Drew Barrymore has just signed on to reteam with Adam Sandler in his new untitled romantic comedy.

The project, which was initially called Blended when it was set up as a pitch in 2007, centers on a man and a woman who, after a disastrous first date, get trapped at a family resort with their kids from previous marriages in tow. An attraction begins to grow despite comedic mishaps.

Sandler boarded the project in February and at the time Barrymore was pegged as the frontrunner for the female lead.

Frequent Sandler director Frank Coraci is helming the project, which is being produced by Mike Karz and Sandler’s Happy Madison shingle.

Barrymore has co-starred in two of Sandler’s best reviewed and most successful comedies, 1998’s The Wedding Singer (also directed by Coraci) and 2004’s 50 First Dates.

Even the premise sounds boring to me. Who knows, maybe Drew will make it better?

How great is that picture above! It’s old! So old, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson (behind them) were still together! :)

He keeps making movies because half his movies have earned over 100 million which is pretty decent for 13 out of 27 and 6 of his movies earned over 200 million worldwide.

Even better 98% have made a decent profit which is good since he Produced (meaning put up his own funds) 20 of his movies.

His Lifetime Gross Total is 2.2 BILLION!

I’m not a fan personally but with numbers like that it’s no wonder he is in demand.
