Chris Brown attended Elton John’s Oscar viewing party on Sunday night solo, without girlfriend Rihanna. So where was she? Chris told Page Six ââ¬ÅShe is the most beautiful girl in the world. But Iââ¬â¢m sad she couldnââ¬â¢t be here tonight; she is rehearsing for her tour.ââ¬Â
Anyway, whatever. Chris Brown didn’t necessarily like Seth MacFarlane’s joke comparing the violence in ‘Django Unchained’ to Chris and Rihanna’s relationship. Shocking, I know. Chris now admits that what he did to Rihanna is his biggest regret.
Rihannaââ¬â¢s boyfriend Chris Brown has described his vicious assault on the singer as the ââ¬Ågreatest regretââ¬Â of his life. Speaking for the first time about their recent reconciliation, the US R&B star shrugged off the public backlash against him and pledged never to hurt the Bajan beauty again.
In a searingly honest interview with the Mirror, he apologized for his actions in 2009, when he physically attacked Rihanna, leaving her shocked and bruised. And Brown admitted that winning her love back had taken many months of tough ââ¬Åserious making up.ââ¬Â
He said: ââ¬ÅSometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals. That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me ââ¬â what can I say? Iââ¬â¢m forgivenââ¬Â¦ but, yes, I worked hard for it.ââ¬Â
Talking at Elton Johnââ¬â¢s Aids Foundation Oscars fund raising party in West Hollywood, the double platinum-selling star said he had ââ¬Ågrown upââ¬Â and learned how to deal with fame.
He also dismissed a bad taste joke by host Seth Macfarlane during the Academy Awards ceremony ââ¬â in which Macfarlane compared the ââ¬Åunspeakably violentââ¬Â movie Django Unchained to ââ¬Ådate night for Rihanna and Chris Brown.ââ¬Â
Brown, 23, said: ââ¬ÅPeople attack me and criticise me, it happens all the time. But they donââ¬â¢t know me, and they donââ¬â¢t know us. It doesnââ¬â¢t bother me any more. Other people can judge us but they donââ¬â¢t know anything.ââ¬Â
The comment about him “growing up” really rubs me the wrong way. Like him beating Rihanna to a pulp was just immature behavior? I see abusers like pedophiles. They may curb their behavior, but they never change. I don’t think pedophiles can be rehabilitated, and I don’t think men who beat women can, either. It may not be a popular belief, but it’s mine – and I’m sticking to it.
FYI: This month marks 4 years since Chris attacked Rihanna. Can you believe it’s been that long!?
