Oscar Winners Full List: ‘Argo’ wins Best Picture, Ang Lee wins ‘Best Director’ and more!

Here is the complete list of winners from last night’s Oscar Awards. One thing that stood out for me – was the diversity of the night. There was no real big winner – movie wise. It seems like the Academy spread the awards out evenly among all the Best Picture films. I kind of liked it, to be honest. I feel like there were SO MANY good movies in 2012. I was thrilled that ‘Argo’ won for Best Picture. I was really hoping Bradley Cooper would have gotten some love, and I wished ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ would have done better over-all, but it was a good night. There were no huge disappointments for me.

Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for his performance in ‘Lincoln.’ The Best Actor award is his third of all time, giving him more Oscars in the category than any actor in the history of the Academy Awards. Marlon Brando, Gary Cooper, Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Fredric March, Jack Nicholson, Sean Penn and Spencer Tracy all have two Best Actor awards.

Anne Hathaway won for ‘Les Miserables,’ and it was well deserved, in my opinion. “It came true!” began her Oscar speech, which was much better than her Golden Globes speech.

Jennifer Lawrence won for ‘Silver Lingings Playbook,’ which was also well deserved. I love her – I love that she won – and I also rather love that she tripped on her dress while walking on stage. I love how “real” she is!
I was thrilled to see Quentin Tarantino win the award for Original Screenplay. ‘Django Unchained’ was GREAT, and he deserved it.
