Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are getting a divorce. The couple have been married for 8 years, and the news has been confirmed by their reps. “Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage,” the reps tell Us Weekly. Adds an insider: “It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”

“It’s not ugly, it’s just over.” DONE!

Diane, 48, and Josh, 45, who married in 2004, have been separated for a couple of months. They have no children together.

This will be the second divorce for both stars. Lane was previously wed to actor Christopher Lambert from 1988 to 1994 — the same years in which Brolin was married to actress Alice Adair, with whom he has two kids, Trevor, 24, and Eden, 18.

Both Oscar-nominated, Brolin and Lane enjoyed some happy times together. Speaking about his wife in 2010, the actor said, “I mean, check her out, man. My relationship with my wife is fantastic.”

This comes as absolutely NO surprise to me. Josh is a man with a huge temper. No only does he get into bar fights, he’s also HIT Diane before. Ever since word came out that he knocked her around (she never pressed charges, but police WERE called to the scene), I lost all respect for him. I’m surprised that she stayed with him as long as she did. Now Diane can move on and find some a little calmer.
