Si, Penelope Cruz is going to be a mom again!

Sources confirmed on Feb. 1 that the 38-year-old actress and husband Javier Bardem were expecting their second child,  and Cruz herself confirmed the news to Spanish TV station TVE!. The Oscar-winner gushed that gushed that she’s “tremendously happy and excited” about her baby-to-be with Bardem, 43.

Back in June 2011, Penelope told Vogue that motherhood is “a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it . . . when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”

Time to be transformed for a second time, no?

Along with being a mother to her new little bundle of joy and her two year old son, Leo, Cruz will also be gearing up for Aunt-hood!  Penelope’s younger sister, Monica Cruz, announced earlier in January that she was expecting her first child via an anonymous sperm donor later this year. Sounds like the Cruz family is getting bigger all around. Can’t complain, we love the Cruz sisters and Bardem!
