Though she won an award, Anne Hathaway didn’t have the greatest time at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards this year…
The Les Miserables actress, 30, was all prepped to say thanks for her award for the film, but first: Hathaway wanted to make sure that the Broadcast Film Critics Association knew she was NOT pleased with the misspelling of her name. In the nomination video, Anne’s name was spelled “Ann,” and not “Anne.” Says the actress:
“This is a bittersweet moment for me because I have this award, but you spelled my name wrong,” she announced. “It is with an ‘e’,” she said in her speech. “It’s probably in bad taste for me to point that out here.”
YEAH. I’m not saying it doesn’t suck to have your name spelled wrong, but can’t you just be happy you got an award? It’s an award? Later, you can cry silently into your gift bag.
