Taylor Swift and Harry Styles may be broken up for good, but there’s a silver lining to every cloud for Mr. Styles!

Since the end of this young couple,  One Direction’s sales have increased by 50 percent, which is (obviously) pretty gigantic.  Unfortunately, Taylor isn’t getting the same kind of love from her fans, as her concert sales dropped by half.

Crap!  What a weird economic backlash!

Louise Malluck of Seatwave (a ticketing website) comments on this phenomenon:

“The adulation received by 1D is one of a kind, and the boys’ fans are famously protective. Since many of Taylor’s fans are also 1D fans, she may have bitten off more than she can chew by dividing their loyalties.”

Interesting…but it isn’t Taylor’s fault that the two split! And does it mean Taylor’s fans are less loyal than 1D fans? That’s kind of hard to believe, too. Maybe Taylor should give us a little more clarity in a song! Next album, perhaps?
