LeAnn Rimes took the stage last night during the performance finale of ‘The X Factor’, and she looked worse for the wear.
The Grammy-winning singer TRIED to sing her hit “How Do I Live”, and instead she bombed. She was off-key, looked like she couldn’t keep her balance, and looked like she was really struggling on stage.
At one point, Rimes even gripped onto Sonenclar during the performance. Her voice didn’t seem to have its usual strength, leading some fans to speculate online that she might have been drinking. When it ended, she declared, “Oh my god, she’s such an amazing talent I want to wrap her up and just hold her,” Rimes said. “You’re doin’ it!” Mario Lopez replied.
The Hollywood Reporter wrote that Rimes wasn’t feeling well during the performance, which could go a long way to describing her erratic behavior. The Daily Mail, though, felt as though she was actively trying to upstage Sonenclar, while Hollywood Life took it a step further and declared Rimes “one big, hot mess.”
Man, she looks AWFUL! She totally looks drunk – or high – or both. How embarrassing to not even be able to sing your #1 hit. It was kind of like watching Whitney Houston try and sing “I Will Always Love You” in her later years. Painful.

Leann used to be a great singer. Now she is a hack. She came out with the wrong key, and continued to be off key through the whole performance. Did they rehearse this? It sure doesn’t seem like it. It was painful to watch. Bad song choice for both Leann and Carly, but Leann should have been able to nail it. Unfortunately Carly performed much better than her. I dont think Leann would have made it past the auditions for XFactor, so she needs to stop blaming the poor 13 year old.
