According to London officials,  Amy Winehouse may not have died from alcohol poisoning!

The London Police department is launching a new inquest into the singer’s death, as questions are surfacing about Winehouse’s autopsy.  Authorities are looking into the practices of the coroner who oversaw Winehouse’s autopsy when she died back in July 2011, and are saying that said coroner did NOT have the proper prerequisites when she concluded the singer died from accidental alcohol poisoning.

According to local reports, Assistant Deputy Suzanne Greenaway had been appointed to the job by her husband in 2009, despite the fact she did not have the required 5 years experience with the London Law Society.  To add on to the suspicious nature of this situation, Greenaway’s husband just resigned from his role as the coroner for inner north London earlier this month in the wake of this scandal.

Winehouse’s family are not interested in revisiting the past, reports say.  If there IS a new autopsy, I can only imagine how horrific and painful it would be for the famous singer’s family.  So sad.
