I love Kyra Sedgwick. I always have. I love the fact that she and husband Kevin Bacon have been married for 24 years, an eternity in Hollywood! Kyra graces the latest cover of Good Housekeeping, and in the new issue she opens up about her husband, and what it’s like being 47 in Hollywood.

Kyra Sedgwick on her husband, Kevin Bacon: I don’t know how he does it, but he always makes me feel like I’m the most beautiful woman in the room—the only girl in the room. He says, ‘Honey, you look beautiful. You are sexy!’ Always, always, always!”

“He is so honorable. He is so ethically true. He has high moral standards, and he doesn’t lie and he doesn’t cheat—and I find that sexy!”

Their kids, Travis, 23, and Sosie, 20, are on their own now, and this new home-alone phase in Sedgwick and Bacon’s marriage—during which, as she candidly puts it, “there’s a lot more walking around the house naked”—is being greeted as a kind of second-honeymoon moment by Bacon.

On being 47 in Hollywood: “I really want to embrace my age,” she says. Kyra often turns to her girlfriend Good Wife star Julianna Margulies for support. “Julianna and I talk about it a lot when we see each other, and that’s helpful,” Sedgwick explains. “We want to age gracefully and naturally and play roles commensurate with our age.”
