Christina Aguilera’s fuller figure at the AMA’s being ripped over Twitter

Christina Aguilera caused quite a stir online over the weekend, when she appeared at the AMA’s. The singer wore an ombre purple Pamella Roland dress, and if you ask me, the dress is really beautiful. I think it’s very flattering on her. That wig on the other hand, is absolutely hideous. And she has GOT to tone down the spray tans.
Aguilera performed at the AMA’s, singing a medley of material from her new album, ‘Lotus’.
Christina’s figure caused an uproar online. Here are some tweets from AMA viewers:
“Carrie Underwood is what Christina Aguilera thinks she looks like right now. And no one has the heart to tell her “NAWL.”"

But Aguilera was not without her Twitter defenders.

She’s obviously a lot bigger than she’s been in the past, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I mean honestly, who cares.

I think Christina Aguilera is one of those celebrities that people love to hate… no matter what she does. If she showed up wearing something tight, she’s in the “wrong”. For once, she actually wore something that was fitting (not too tight, not too slutty) and she’s still getting ripped apart. I thought she looked fabulous last night!

The AMA’s are all about music. I agree with Ana. She is so beautiful (no matter what you say .. pun intended for her song). She is comfortable so that is all the really counts. Her voice is simply amazing! It is disappointing to hear and read about the make rude comments about her. I liked your comment Kellie. Agree with you 100%.

She seems to be bulkier every time we see her.
It’s fascinating that she doesn’t seem embarrassed by it. That may seem healthy but her weight isn’t healthy so it’s really not.

I too think she looks great. With one thing: her skin looks so unhealthy! In the first pic almost like leather… uggh. I love her hair for an instance. No stripper hair! Yay! And it accentuates her face shape wonderfully! And her make up is nice, too.
But please stop ‘roasting’ yourself! You look like a overcooked chicken…

Some of these comments explain why there are young girls out there with huge eating disorders and negative image issues. And why some young men have issues looking beyond the outer surface, wanting instead to be seen with Barbie dolls.
Those of you who choose to slam anyone else take a good look in the mirror first, or post a pic online and see the comments your own looks would generate. And remember even if you are drop dead gorgeous, your actions can make you ugly.

I think Christina looks fantastic. Very sexy! I much prefer her this way to her skinny twiglet look from the “Genie In A Bottle” days.

People are ridiculous. Whoever said “this is why girls have eating disorders”-you are an idioT.there are far more girls out there with diabetes and heart conditions, due to them being fat. America needs to stop glamorizing fatness by giving it prettier names, like “full figured”, “curvy”, “a real woman”. Screw that! A size 0-6 is just as womanly but in addition that girl is healthy. Do you know why some guys say that they “prefer” a big girl? Simply because either a)they know that they can never get a better looking girl or b) that no one else is going to look at their girlfriend, therefore her confidence is dependent on him. So please, let’s stop this nonsense. Thank you
