Ellen Degeneres And Portia de Rossi Still Don’t Want Kids

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi haven’t changed their minds about starting a family!
DeGeneres is days away from the season 10 premiere of her eponymous talk show, and explained to Jay that while she has no issue with kids themselves, she doesn’t really want them for herself.
“I don’t want to have one. I don’t want to have six. I don’t want to have any,” the comedian said. “They’re precious to look at and I love them; we have nieces and I love them very much. [But I] don’t want ‘em.”
“People are constantly asking Portia and me if we are going to have children. We thought about it. We love to be around children after they’ve been fed and bathed. But we ultimately decided that we don’t want children of our own. There is far too much glass in our house.”
And you know what they say: those in glass houses…should…not…procreate? I don’t know- I was never any good at sayings and proverbs.

in our misogynist society women are supposed to procreate…
so i think it’s great that they thougt about what they really want and decided together not to have children just beacause it is “the normal thing to do”. as long as they’re both oknwith that..
so many couple make baby for bad reasons.

Good for them. Already we’re overpopulated and too many retards out there…. Children arent everything in life contrary to the brainwashing applied to us since eons….

As a mother of a little boy with autism, I applaud XYZ’s derogatory and offensive use of the word retard. Well done genius! Stupidity never takes a day off. I’m sure XYZ’s parent’s wish they’d never had children either.

*Big hugs Trisha*. I know raising a child with autism can be very difficult. Don’t pay any attention to aggressive, illiterate people like XZY. When someone delivers their opinion in such a childish, offensive manner, it becomes impossible to agree with them. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Obviously nobody told XYZ that. He/she always come across as either drunk or enraged.

Like @oaz said, people need to have kids for the right reasons. Besides, it would be hard for her to have time for her talk show, and I would just die without my daily dose of Ellen! I’m so happy that the new season is finally upon us! I wish it didn’t air during my workday at Dish, but at least I have the recording to look forward to when I get home. It’s lucky that I have my Hopper DVR to handle such a trying task of recording this lengthy show everyday, or else I’d be stuck cleaning out any other DVR all the time. It would be cool to have a baby Ellen bouncing around, but I respect their decision!
