Taylor Lautner up for Christian Grey role in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’!?

If that’s the case I quit. I’m done with this industry, I’ve lost all faith. I hated ’50 Shades of Grey’. BEYOND hated it. I read the first book (which was torture) and made it about half way through the second when I actually had to just STOP or I was going to hurt someone. It’s the worst-written-biggest-piece-of-crap I’ve ever read. With that said, when I pictured Christian Grey, I would never – not in a million years – have pictured Taylor Lautner. Isn’t he still a child? Rumor has it he’s in the running to play the teenage Christian Grey. Still….. no thanks!
PolicyMic’s list of possible young Christian Greys included names as famous as Zac Efron who was number one, Logan Lerman, the talented but physically laughable Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, and even the scrofulously unattractive and unfailingly annoying Shia LaBeouf. (Ugh)
Taylor Lautner was listed at number two. And even the most devoted Team Edward twihards would agree that TLaut possesses both the physical beauty and the star quality to flesh out the role of the youthful SM nutjob–er–stud muffin, Christian Grey. Furthermore, the role might give Lautner the career boost he seems to need. His first post Twilight film, Abduction, was greeted by bad reviews and mediocre box office receipts. And he seems to have done little or nothing else since. Fifty Shades of Grey might be just the vehicle he needs to pull him out of his current career doldrums and prove to the world (and possibly himself as well) that he is not a “one trick pony.”
No, no and more NO!!! Is there some petition I can sign to stop this from happening?
I really hope the movie will be good. The books were so bad, maybe the movie can be better?

Ugh. Since when do poorly written romance novels get to be made into A-list films?

Poorly written I wouldn’t say…super cheesy…ok. I don’t think it’s meant to be written as the next Moby Dick or Great Gatsby…its for fun and fantasy, to create that “fantasy”. Prude people just don’t get it. With that being said…my first candidate would be William Levy minus his accent. People try to take the book too damn serious, chill out.

I’ll say it’s the most poorly written book I’ve ever read…. I’m sure there are worse books out there.

I actually liked the books
LOL
But I won’t be watching the movies if Taylor Lautner is in any way associated with them!! I agree…definitely do NOT see him as Christian Grey. At all. Plus, the books were so steamy…how could the movies possibly live up to the books? Unless it’s going to be rated XXX, they’ll suck.

“Prude people just don’t get it?!?!” Suuuuure. I’m actually quite happy that I did get the severe undertones of control and possession. Any woman who wants this kind of “relationshit” can have it and all the bruises that come with it. Bottom line, fantasy or not, women need a more positive role model. Not a weak-willed female who bows (bends over) to whatever a man commands. And yes, that is my opinion. (and I agree with Jocelyn. Poorly written and VERY repetitive.)

Taylor Kitsch maybe then he’ll finally be in a movie people want to see

Worst.books.ever thank god I read them for free

I agree Jocelyn. I do part-time editing, and reading a few excerpts made me cringe. I give her credit, she made a killing on that book. But a movie has no hope of being good, in my opinion. I’ve been wrong before. Rarely.

anyone from taylor lautner, matthew mcconaughey, ian somerhalder, michael fassbender and even joshua jackson would be okay in my book.

I agree 100% the books were horrible! My sister INSISTED that I read them and gave me her trilogy. I tried – HATED IT! The writing is terrible, the story is horrible, Anastasia is a weak idiot and Christian? Don’t even get me started with that mess! I forced myself, literally to read most of book one (didn’t care how it ended, when I got to the period sex scene I had to quit for my own sanity!) then I skimmed through books 2 and 3 and I regret doing so because they’re even worse than book one! There’s actually a line in book 3 where Ana is very pregnant and after one of their s&m sessions, she informs him that she thinks the baby loves sex already; WTF???? No matter who gets the role, I will definitely be skipping the movie!

So, I’m taking it that I shouldn’t read these books. I thought about it, just because everyone’s reading them apparently. But I’m only 16, so….

“its for fun and fantasy, to create that “fantasy”. Prude people just don’t get it.” PRUDE? Bitch say whaaa? I’ve been reading erotica since I was 12. The book is poorly written to the point that it makes crappy “novels” like “the devil wears prada” and “confessions of a shopaholic” intelligent by comparison (only). You want fantasies? Read Anais Nin. You want to read something that has literary merits as well as a nice storyline? D.H.Lawrance. From my personal discovery: the only people that have raved to me about this piece of garbage of a book are: either virgins, barely illiterates or a combination of both. I’m outta here.

I can really see him as the younger Grey. It would be a very good interesting role for him, he definitely has the looks for the character and he would be the only reason for me to read the book. I’ve not known for #1 New York Times Bestseller’s to be poorly written, but everyone can have an opinion, You just can’t always believe them.(smile) besides I’ve given worst books a chance, am almost half way finished with it now and it’s very good so far. I really hope that Taylor’s gets a part.

Hi all!! Goodness give the woman some credit for thinking of the box. Yep Grey is F!!!up, but their are worse. I will defiantly say William Levy for Grey (yum). Its all fictional, lighten up a bit. Ami from S.A. Laters Baby!

Matthew Bomer is leading over Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy as Christian Grey over at fillthepart.com. Go over a cast who you believe is best for the role.

I do not thing anyone who is under 21 should read that book!
And Yes, i just cant picture a movie coming from that book, they would have to really tone it down, and it wouldn’t make any sense because then the movie will crappy!. You they are messed up men and women out there, who are into those stuff. Even though Anaestisa is young and naive, she still choose to see the real christian, see beyond all that kinky shit! and Love him for who he is. You have to realize that she see him now, like a broken man-child, who knows nothing else than what the pedefile old woman thought him. pulse he love her unconditionally too, even though hes obsessive, possessive, controlling etc.:-)
The book in a whole is a bit repetitive that’s the only problem i have with it. pulse friction so…

Oh and i totally agree, taylor launter? HELL NO! that book is way too mature in a sense for him to play the role of Christian Grey. I say Ian Somerhalder is perfect, he got that tall dark bad boy look going on, and he handsome.
