Emma Watson named the frontrunner to play Anastasia Steele in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

In news that I hope is PURELY a rumor, it’s been announced that Emma Watson is at the top of the list of actresses producers want for the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie adaption of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
Actress Emma Watson is in talks to take on the role of Anastasia Steel in the movie adaptation of “Fifty Shades Of Grey”.
The actress is the hot favourite to be chosen by producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti.
The 22-year-old is said to have the right looks for the part, combining a degree of innocence with the acting skills to portray the young graduate who gets swept into a world of sado-masochistic sex with a kinky billionaire, Christian Grey, reports showbizspy.com.
Others in the frame to play Anastasia are believed to be Elizabeth Olsen, Mila Kunis and Kristen Stewart.
Man, I sincerely hope the role does not go to Emma. She is NOT the kind of actress that could pull it off. Not that I think Emma’s a bad actress, but I don’t think she’s the TYPE of actress who could pull off doing the things Anastasia does in the book. I’m about half way through the second book in the trilogy right now (I’m getting there….slowly), and Emma is way too vanilla. The actress is going to need a bit of darkness to her. I think Elizabeth Olsen would be PERFECT (below). After watching her in ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’, I know she’d be capable of pulling this off.

I am surprised to hear myself type this, but I actually like the idea of Emma Watson. Also Kristen Stewart would be cool. I’ve never seen Elizabeth Olsen, so I can’t say any opinion on her.

I think Anna Kendrick would be a good Anastasia! I don’t think they will get the Christian part right though. Can’t think of anyone that would fit that role!

The only person I can see pulling off Christian Grey is Michael Fassbender. Everyone else is too ….. boyish. We need a MAN, baby!

I literally rolled my eyes just reading the title of this post LOL. I don’t think she would make a good Anastasia Steele. I’m not sure about Elizabeth Olsen but only because I’ve never seen any of her work.
And one more thing I need to get off my chest:
The author of this book used Henry Cavill as inspiration for Christian Grey. He even has his own fan page on Facebook LOL. So why not just use him in the movie?? HE’S SO DELICIOUS! He’s also the new Superman…so I’ll definitely be watching those

i loved 50 shades and can’t wait for the movie, but i probably won’t watch it if elizabeth olsen is in it. i think chris pine or sam worthington should play christian. i feel very picky about who’s chosen.

You say that Emma Watson isn’t the type of actress capable of pulling it off, but she’s a good actress. Then you say Elizabeth Olsen would be perfect, because you’ve seen her dark side in Martha Macy May Marlene.
The whole point of being a good actress is that you can morph into any character. Elizabeth Olsen wouldn’t be doing anything new; she’s perfect in your eyes because you’ve seen her do it before.
Emma Watson, on the other hand, is capable of changing her “typeness” to fit the character. That’s the whole point of acting. You’re pigeonhole-ing Emma as “vanilla” because you’ve only seen her in Harry Potter for the last ten years.
Would you have thought Dan Radcliffe could have done Equus or Lady in Black before he was in those projects? Of course not. He would have been too “vanilla.” Obviously, he was capable.

I think Ian Sommerhaulder would be perfect Christian he has the eyes they are super hot and grey as well!! I can’t see anyone working as well as him David Fassbender is handsom not hot, you need someone sexy and Ian its it through and through. As for Anastasia I LOVE emma waston for this Anastasia is innocent and grows into this sex goddess and that can be said for Emma she will grow as Anastasia grows.
Kristen Stewart would be brutal shes a terrible actress with only one personality she would ruin the franchise completely.

kristen stewart would be horrible, she got lucky with the twilight movies, another example of horrible acting,what about the girl from the “dragon tatoo movie”? She seems dark enough

What about Lucy Hale!!! She would be perfect!! I like that Henry guy too, or the Christian Hemsworth… I think that is how you spell it!
