Michael Vick Thinks His Kids Should Have A Dog

Michael Vick wants to get a dog again… uh oh.
Five years after the Vick’s dogfighting conviction, Vick can- legally- own a dog. But- should he?
The Philadelphia Eagles QB was on Piers Morgan‘s show last night, and mentioned that his kids should have a dog, if they want one. Says Vick to Piers, as reported by TMZ, “I can’t take that dream away from them. That’s selfish on my behalf.”
He also called dog ownership “theraputic” for his kids, and that he was against getting a pit bull as a pet. Vick thinks that after spending 19 months in federal prison and after being pet-less for three years, his family is ready to introduce a pet into their lives.
Eek- this makes me feel gross. What are your thoughts on Vick owning a dog again?

He is a pig who should have stayed in jail for life for what he did to those innocent animals.
I don’t understand the point of a 3 year ban on owning another dog. In 3 years he is supposed to become a better person? It should have been a lifetime ban. His children will grow up to be just like him.
He should be tortured and hung from a tree to die just like his dogs were.

Omg! Give the man a break. He committed a heinous crime, but did his time. Do you not believe in 2nd chances?!?! And why should his children be penalized?

He took dogs by the legs and slammed them into the ground until they were dead…. No say a lifetime ban on dog ownership in called for!!

Also I want to add:
Court records indicate that Vick was personally responsible for killing at least six dogs. The manner in which they were killed included: Hanging dogs from a crossbar with a nylon rope, drowning dogs by holding them upside down with their heads in a bucket of water, and electrocution. One report indicated that Vick and one his partners killed a dog by taking it by its legs and slamming it to the ground, breaking his neck. Another report has Vick throwing family pets into the pit to be mauled by a fighter dog.
