Katie Holmes delighted the parish at The Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City, because she recently joined their congregation!

One member of the church choir told the Huffington Post via DailyMail that she’s mega-excited!

“Everyone is thrilled to have Katie join us. She has not yet attended a service, but when she does she will be welcomed with open arms.“

The Church has been around since 1847, and probably marks another step away from The Church of Scientology and her marriage with Tom Cruise. Though Tom’s people keep saying their divorce isn’t about religion (specifically, raising Suri as a Scientologist) it’s looking more and more like it is, don’t you think?
