‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film picked up by team behind ‘Social Network’!

When I read this news earlier today I was THRILLED because I have hopes that maybe now the movie won’t suck. This book, in the wrong hands, would have made for a spectacularly horrible movie.
BUT – The Hollywood Reported revealed today that the producing team behind ‘The Social Network’ will be producing ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’!!!
Universal Pictures and Focus Features said in a joint statement Monday that Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will reteam for the adaptation of the best-selling novels by E. L. James.
The multimillion-selling books tell the story of an unworldly college student engaging in an unusual romantic relationship with a wealthy young businessman.
I am about 80% done with the book, and I really need to finish it. It’s hard for me because the writing is just sooooooooooooo bad. A friend told me I need to keep truckin’ though, and get through the rest of the series. I read somewhere today that the book has sold over 20,000 million copies so far. That is mind boggling!
So here’s the better question……… who should play Christian Grey – and who should play Anastasia Steele?

You are right, the writing is horrible. IMHO, the story is really really boring, I don’t understand the success this book is having, the characters are absolutely one dimensional and even sex is boring. I can’t believe this is being made into a movie, just goes to prove that a mediocre writer can become super rich just by catering to simple minded. JK Rowling is probably scratching her head going “WTF?”

No not Ian….Ian is horrible. I would prefer Colin Eggsfield he has just that perfect charisma and is super sexy….and not everybody know him! So that’s good. And for Ana I would go for Amanda Seyfried she could play that sweet innocent part as well as the sexy part.

Oh man, I would HATE IT if Ian got it. I can’t stand the kid. I think it needs to be someone bigger, manlier. I heard Channing Tatum’s name being thrown around this morning, and I’m not even sure if HE’S manly enough. I would say Tom Hardy (the epitome of MANLY) but he’d never do it.
