Amy Winehouse died almost a year ago, but her music lives on!
On Tuesday, Nas released “Cherry Wine”, his collaboration with Winehouse. The track came from “God, and Amy”, according to the rapper.
Nas and Winehouse teamed up for a few recording sessions in 2008, one track of which, “Like Smoke,” was featured on the singer’s posthumously released album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. “We don’t even have an explanation for how it happened,” Nas said, noting that they both worked with producer Salaam Remi. “It was just magic. It just happened. It was supposed to happen. She made it happen.”
