Kourtney Kardashian scared to death of delivering her daughter via water birth!

According to sources, Kourtney Kardashian was all set to deliver her daughter via water birth up until a couple days ago. What changed her mind? The reality star witnessed a live water birth, and she wants nothing to do with it.
According to TMZ, Kourtney and boyfriend Scott Disick had originally heard water birth was much better for the baby because it’s a less shocking introduction to the world. Water births are also typically done without any pain medicine, which many believe is better for the baby and mom.
Kourtney witnessed a friend deliver via water birth a couple days ago, and apparently Kourtney is telling friends it was “horrific”, and “looked brutally painful.”
Seems like Kourtney’s had a change of heart now – and has booked a mega suite inside Cedars-Sinai.
Any of you deliver a baby via water birth? I’d love to hear about your experiences!

Stalking your site lately ; ) I didn’t do water birth because unless it’s to bathe I don’t like to get wet much less sitting in a tub of water during labor??? Who came up with that idea? Though I can see the appeal if you really like water.
Anyway, I did give birth at home without pain meds. The midwife let me labor in the shower which was comforting in the beginning stages of labor. It was a long 12 hours. I did a lot of prep work reading books on labor to mentally prepare so I’d know what’s supposed to happen. Thankfully it was a textbook birth. It hurts, can’t lie and even though my contractions were longer than any I ever read about I would do it again.

I didn’t deliver in the water, but MAN, a hot tub makes natural labor pain SO much more manageable. I’m hoping to deliver #3 in the water when the time comes, but even if I can’t, I know a tub will be incorporated into my labor. After two drug-free births, the pain doesn’t scare me anymore, but “brutally painful” is a pretty good description.
Worth it, though, for the healthiest mama and baby!

I have never given birth nor am I pregnant, but the thought of a water birth grosses me out. I would not want to be sitting in a tub full of water mixed with afterbirth.

I labored in the tub but didn’t give birth in it. though I did give birth med-free. Labor is different for everyone and she really can’t/shouldn’t base her choices on 1 or 2 births. I went in knowning that my body was made to give birth, it put a confidence and determination in me that I never knew I had. I was in labor for 37 hours, hard labor for 14 hours and I pushed for nearly 5 hours. It was intense but I wouldn’t say it was painful
