Tony Parker files a $20 million lawsuit against the club where the Chris Brown/Drake fight went down. Seriously Tony!?
This story makes me crazy.
Tony Parker happened to have been at the NYC club where Chris Brown and Drake got into a fight, the same night the melee went down.
Tony is alleging that he was in the club that night, and during the fight, he suffered a scratched retina. The suit filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan on Thursday holds the W.i.P club’s owners and operators in SoHo responsible for a ‘corneal laceration of the left eye and other injuries,’ according to the New York Post.
The San Antonio Spurs guard (and Eva Longoria’s ex) claims the club was negligent in security, allowing the fight to take place. “The defendants were reckless, careless and negligent in permitting Drake’s entourage and Brown’s entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two,” the suit says.
Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard were among eight injured during the fight inside the club last week which was reportedly over Drake and Brown’s ties to singer Rhianna.
‘She’s been known, like Helen of Troy, to cause trouble,’ Parker’s lawyer David Jaroslawicz told the Post about Rihanna.
Police say members of Drake’s entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown.
In a press conference last week in France, Parker wore sunglasses over what he says was a ‘therapeutic’ contact lens.
He says he expects to be sidelined for about a week thanks to his injury while his French team prepares for the Summer Olympics.
‘So I’ll be missing the start of the French team because I can’t do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops,’ he said.

There was no answer at phone numbers listed as affiliated with those named in the lawsuit.
The owners of the club, which had temporarily closed due to violations discovered by the New York Police Department during their handling of the incident, told TMZ they have not been served with any papers yet.
The 30-year-old said he expects to be able to line-up with his teammates in London, saying there, he’s lucky.
‘The cornea has been touched. I can’t do anything for seven days.
‘But I was lucky. The injury won’t prevent me from competing in the Olympics in any way.’
Suing for $20 million over a scratched cornea?! I’ve had a scratched cornea before – and it sucks, but it goes away. Much like a hangnail. You put some drops in – and voila! You’re all better!
Just seems like a lame excuse to SUE someone, IMO.
What do you think?
