Looks like John Mayer has his sights on a new Hollywood starlet: Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence!

John, Jennifer and a group of friends went to the Medieval Times in Los Angeles on Saturday night, each dressed in clothes straight out of 1350. Man, sounds like a bizarre time- but one that might lead to a little unexpected wenching and friar-ing (you know, that’s old-timey speak for flirting).  And it did! Apparently, John was turning on the charm, making everybody laugh, and giving lots of welcome attention to Lawrence.

“He’s really well read so he kept using his knowledge of the medieval era to make puns and crack everyone up. He was even putting on an English accent at times and ordering ‘beer-eth.’” An eyewitness reports. “Jennifer thought he was a riot. It was like a freshman having a crush on the captain of the football team.”

Ugh, I thought Jennifer was cool!  How can she fall for the skeezy Mayer?! Maybe I’m right and she’s too smart for his BS- afterward, Mayer parted ways with Lawrence and headed to the Palihouse in West Hollywood.

Besides, Jen is with hottie Nicholas Hoult, 22, and we think they’re adorable!
