Russell Brand admits that while he did stay faithful to his wife, Katy Perry, during their 14-month marriage, he’s relieved it’s over – and he can get back to fulfilling his “biological drive”.

Even after his brief marriage to Katy Perry fizzled, the Rock of Ages actor admits he isn’t against getting married again.

Russell confessed to The Mirror, ”I’m single at the moment. I’m also dating. You know, that sort of dating where you can do what you like?”

Russell, who ended his 14-month-long marriage to Katy six months ago, insists he’s not “tied down” to anyone, but jokes — as he often does — “Well, occasionally…”

Russell claimed he was denying his “biological drive” when he was married, but apparently still believes in the sanctity of marriage.

“Yeah, I’d get married again,” Russell, 37, gushed.

But something he wasn’t too keen on discussing was his ex-wife, who’s reportedly dating Florence & the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.

“I don’t want to talk about stuff like that,” a normally chatty Russell said simply.

A person who is an admitted sex addict (like Russell) probably shouldn’t marry. I can’t imagine that ever ends well.
