Katy Perry’s gone ginger for her cameo in Fox’s ‘Raising Hope’!
The 27-year-old singer will play Nikki, a prison guard who says she’s a long-lost friend of Sabrina’s (Shannon Woodward). Sabrina was arrested after participating in an Occupy Natesville protest.
According to insiders, Nikki will try to make Sabrina’s time in jail as horrible as possible until she remembers the good old days.
The idea behind having Perry guest star came from the reality of her actual friendship with Woodward.
Executive producer Greg Garcia said: ‘Shannon Woodward told me that her friend Katy was interested in doing an episode and I thought, “Why not? Let’s do your friend Katy a favour.”
‘Then she came in and did a terrific job. She was hilarious. And now people are telling me that Katy is also a singer.
‘I sincerely hope that her appearance on the show helps her get her singing career off the ground. It’s a tough business,’ Garcia laughed.
