Jennifer Lopez and her new young piece of arse Caspar Smart were spotted in Calabasas yesterday afternoon visiting a jewelry store. The two walked into the store together, but when they were leaving they left separately, trying to avoid being photographed together. (Too late!) No word on what the couple bought inside the store, but let’s hope it had nothing to do with an engagement!

Chances are whatever was bought inside was purchased by JLo herself. The ‘American Idol’ judge has “given” her white Bentley to Jasper to use while the two are living in sin.

In other Jennifer news, Jen’s opening up about a scary time right after her twins were born. Just days after her twins Max and Emme were born in February 2008, Jennifer found a lump on her daughter’s head.

“I just remember that feeling, ‘If something is wrong with that baby . . I’m gonna die,’” Lopez, 42, tells CNN’s Alina Cho in “Big Stars Big Giving,” (in a quote excerpted by the New York Post) a special airing next weekend.

The singer, actress and American Idol judge admits in the interview that she and husband Marc Anthony were initially at a complete loss.

“I remember looking at Marc and said ‘We should call the doctor’ . . . I started panicking a little bit.” Anthony, 43 (they announced their split this past July) was “panicking too,” she recalls.

“We were thinking, ‘Did somebody drop her when we weren’t looking? . . . I just remember looking at him and saying if this baby, if Emme’s not going to be OK . . . I’m not going to be OK.”

Latin crooner Anthony wasn’t any calmer, she reveals. “He’s like, ‘I’m not going to be OK. None of us are going to be OK.”

The duo then rushed little Emme to the hospital. “Luckily for us, it turned out OK,” she reports.

But the scare inspired action in the star. “I was (thinking) like what if I didn’t have that? What if I didn’t have access to great health care?” she ponders. “What if I was a mom just sitting there and there was something wrong with my baby and there was nothing I could do about it?”

The superstar couple then founded the Maribel Foundation — named after Anthony’s sister Maribel, who died of brain cancer at age 8 — to provide pediatric care to those in need.

Lindsay Lohan’s nude photo shoot for Playboy Magazine is helping Hugh Hefner‘s magazine break sales records.

Lohan was reportedly paid $1 million to pose nude for the photos, which were taken reminiscent of the style Marilyn Monroe posed in during the debut issue of Playboy in 1953.

It’s been reported that Marilyn Monroe was only paid $50 for the 1949 photo shoot.

“The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records,” Hefner said in a message posted on his Twitter account Sunday.

A Playboy spokesman would not give sales numbers, but the official did say it was selling “very well.”

The Playboy gig was a rare moneymaking opportunity for Lohan, whose acting career has been hampered in the past two years by frequent trips to court, probation restrictions, extended drug rehab stints and several visits to jail.

To be honest, I’m a little surprised it sold so well. Even after the pictures leaked online, I’m surprised people went out and bought the issue. Is it because people think she’s going to have the same fate as Marilyn?

This year was crazy. So much drama, whether in everyday life or in the movie world. Here’s a brief rundown of the cinematic ones: Was “Drive” a pretentious pretend tough-guy movie? Did “The Tree of Life” need dinosaurs? Could the brilliant auteur Lars Von Trier please put that microphone down? And did Clint Eastwood really need to slather so much old-age makeup on Leo DiCaprio and Armie Hammer? As much as I like Eastwood, I at times felt like I was watching the Max Fischer Production of “J. Edgar,” which, come to think of it, would be pretty great.

But we’re here to discuss stars and their careers of this year. As I do nearly every year, I look over who has triumphed and who has struggled. And everyone struggles, so there’s nothing mean-spirited here. I love movie stars. I love directors. I love movies. And let’s face it, we all love drama.

I see a LOT of movies during the year, and my favorites usually don’t roll out until the last couple weeks of December. I KNOW I’m going to love David Fincher’s ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’, I just haven’t seen it yet! I saw ‘Young Adult’ this week, and I really liked it. It was definitely a dark comedy – but Charlize Therone was genius! All I can go off of is what I’ve already seen this year! (With that said – Larry Crowne is my vote for the WORST movie of 2011!!!)

Lindsay Lohan landed herself a real-life-paying job! Jag Jeans paid the troubled star (or “style icon” if you believe their press release) to model their clothes. Check out their press release. It’s precious.

The Jag Jeans crew traveled to Los Angeles to shoot the style icon at the landmark SLS Boutique Hotel in Beverly Hills. Led by world-renowned photographer YuTsai, who has spearheaded photo shoots for such international celebrity beauties as Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis, Rihanna and Janet Jackson, it was clear that the spread for Jag Jeans was going to be once again artistic and edgy.

And Lindsay did not disappoint.

Like a woman who knows what she wants, Lindsay worked closely with Jag’s stylist Maya Krispin, who has styled Tinseltown’s biggest names like Katy Perry, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian, to personally select her wardrobe for every spread.

Lindsay was so involved with the shoot that she would go as far as adjusting items on the set. She even requested scissors so she could personally fray the edges of her black crepe blouse because she believed it would look better that way. Lindsay would take a hands-on approach to her shots, as she was more than willing to change her hairstyle during mid-shoot and even used her own personal jewelry and accessories when needed.

Lindsay was impressed by Jag’s Push Up Skinny Jeans and Flared Jeans, and even asked if she could keep a peach top and the denim shorts she used during the shoot.

With Lindsay’s appeal, lensman YuTsai’s intricate eye for detail, stylist Maya’s heightened fashion sense and the Philippe Starck-designed SLS hotel as its canvas, the shoot stamped Jag Jeans mark as an international brand to be reckoned with.

That was hilarious. She was “so involved with the shoot that she would go as far as adjusting items on the set”?! Love it.
