MTV is bringing back it’s hidden-camera prank classic, ‘Punk’d’. The network has ordered a new version, with Jason Goldberg and Ashton Kutcher on board as executive producers.

MTV plans to announce the show’s host/hosts during its New Years Eve party live telecast next week. Access Hollywood reported months ago that a new show was in the works, using different celebrity hosts for each episode — and noting in the premiere that Justin Bieber is the man in the van.

MTV wouldn’t confirm any details about the show. But it’s fair to assume that Kutcher himself, now costarring on CBS’ Two and a Half Men, won’t likely be on camera. And an announcement with details about the show is firmly tied to the network’s NYE in NYC 2012 telecast on Dec. 31.

Demi Lovato and Tyler Posey of MTV’s Teen Wolf will host the holiday special with musical performances by host Demi Lovato, along with Selena Gomez, J Cole, Jason Derulo, and Mac Miller from MTV’s Times Square studio.

What do you think about ‘Punk’d’ coming back? I didn’t mind the show – for the first little bit. After a while, it got old… same ol’ schtick. If they could freshen it up a bit – I think it would do pretty well!

Unless – they actually do sign Bieber as the host. Then I can’t watch.

“Beastly” actress Vanessa Hudgens stopped by a local Target with her new boyfriend Austin Butler in Los Angeles this afternoon. The happy couple headed back to the car after grabbing a cartload of stuff during their holiday shopping.

Vanessa, 22, and Austin, 20, started dating in September, about 8 months after Vanessa and Zac Efron called it quits. Austin rose to “stardom” playing Jamie Lynn Spears’ love interest on ‘Zoey 101′ and then costarred in the Disney movie ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure’ with Vanessa’s best friend, Ashley Tisdale.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been spotted all over NYC (I won’t bother posting the hundreds of pictures that were taken). While Tom is busy promoting ‘Mission Impossible 3′, he and Katie have been speckling the town with their presence! First, Tom was spotted on Friday taking Suri to gymnastics. He also promoted ‘MI3′ all over town, with his beautiful costars.

Friday night the couple stepped out with Suri to see The Nutcracker. Saturday afternoon, Tom and Katie took in a dance class together. (Aw shucks!) Saturday night the three Cruises were spotted at the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. And finally we have these pictures! Tom, Katie and Suri stepped out for dinner at Buddakan where the family celebrated Katie’s 33rd birthday!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are also in NYC right now, as Tom promotes his new movie, ‘Mission Impossible 3′. I wonder if – after all these years – it would be weird for them to run into each other. You never see or hear about the two of them being together anywhere. I wonder how their relationship is these days, considering they have two children together. It must be hard for Connor or Isabella to see both their parents moved on – and having other children. They’re the “middle” children!

“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood is back in jail after a judge issued a warrant for her arrest, according to TMZ.

It’s unclear why the judge issued the warrant — whether it’s related to Amber’s most recent alleged probation violations, including a fight Amber got into at a restaurant last month … or a new one entirely.

Amber is currently being booked at Madison County Jail in Indiana — where she’s now expected to spend the holidays.

She’s due to face a judge on January 13.

I feel bad for all these ‘Teen Mom’ girls. The reality show doesn’t do them any favors.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Admiral General Aladeen character from his upcoming movie ‘The Dictator’ has issued a statement about the death of Kim Jong Il.

In a statement given to Gossip Cop, General Aladeen writes, “I am saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend Kim Jong-Il. Our thoughts go out to his wife and 813 children.”

“K-Jo,” as General Aladeen calls him, “was a great leader, good friend and average double’s badminton partner.”

Aladeen remembers his pal as a man who “did so much to spread compassion, wisdom and uranium throughout the world.”

Cohen has similarly assumed his characters “Bruno” and “Borat” while promoting their films.

The Dictator is set for a May 2012 release.

It’s a little bit funny, you have to admit.

30-year-old Jennifer Hudson showed up at the VH1 Divas show last night looking….. out of this world? Tell me it doesn’t look like a Battlestar Gallactica costume? I hate the dress, I hate the boots – I hate the whole look! I think her new body looks amazing, but it might be time to hire a better stylist!

She’s reportedly lost over 80lbs – which is pretty amazing, congrats!
