Katy Perry in Vivienne Westwood at last night’s AMA’s!

Katy Perry wore this dress by Vivienne Westwood at last night’s American Music Awards. I don’t mind it – but I don’t love it either. It suits Katy perfectly, however. I like the contrast of the blue shoes and pink hair with the dress.

Katy walked the red carpet solo, even though hubby Russell Brand was in NY! What’s he so busy with that he can’t show up to support his wife! Of course, this naturally means that they’re having marriage problems – or they’re pregnant. One of the two.

If Russell Brand and Katy Perry want to quash rumours that their year-old marriage is on the rocks, they are certainly going about it in a strange way.

Last week, singer Katy, 27, appeared on a U.S. chat show to talk about their plans to start a family, but privately she is telling friends her marriage is in trouble.

She is understood to have confided in musician Tore Nissen, who is playing in a support act on her California Dreams world tour.

‘Tore has been a shoulder to cry on for Katy,’ says a mole. ‘They get along well, so much so that his girlfriend became suspicious and joined him on the tour.’

Meanwhile, Russell, 35, jokingly took off his wedding ring as he announced plans for a stand-up comedy tour of U.S. colleges – and also poked fun at ‘sororities’ – female societies at universities.

‘I don’t know what a sorority is .  .  . except that they are sort of sex clubs for women,’ he posted. ‘I am going to learn first-hand about sororities.’

Katy’s performance last night was one of the one ones that I actually enjoyed. I think her voice sounded incredible. I liked the slower version of ‘One That Got Away’ she performed.

After performing the song, Katy was met with a standing ovation as well as a special award of achievement for scoring five #1 singles from Teenage Dream on Billboard‘s Hot 100, an achievement only equal to Michael Jackson and his 1987 Bad LP.

“Yay! Can I just say, thank you so much for letting me be a chameleon this year,” the starlet screamed during her acceptance speech. “I’m very, very, very pleased, and I want to give thanks to my amazing record label, EMI and Capitol. … I’m about to wrap up my California Dreams Tour, 122 dates, so I want to thank my band and all the people that came out to see me, and all of you guys, ’cause you’re pretty cool too!”

Kristin Cavallari and ex-fiance Jay Cutler are engaged again!

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are engaged—again! After calling off his three-month engagement to Kristin on July 23, Life & Style can exclusively reveal that Jay has proposed for the second time—and Kristin has accepted!

“Kristin is over the moon with happiness,” a source tells Life & Style. “She’s already told her friends that the engagement is back on. They haven’t set a new date yet.”

As Life & Style previously reported, after a whirlwind 10-month romance with The Hills star, 24, Jay, 28, abruptly ended the relationship when Kristin put work before plans with the Chicago Bears quarterback. Kristin, who had been excitedly planning her dream wedding, which was set for summer 2012, was left heartbroken. The pair then rekindled their romance when Kristin began competing on Dancing With the Stars in September.

I wonder if this means that Kristin’s willing to move to Chicago now. Rumors swirled around that Jay called off the engagement after it was clear that Kristin wouldn’t leave Hollywood.

GQ names Kristin Wiig “Bro of the Year”

This year was definitely Kristin Wiig’s breakout year. With the success of her continued run on ‘Saturday Night Live’, this year she also starred in and co-wrote the highest earning female comedy of all time, ‘Bridesmaids’.

While ‘Bridesmaids’ was about women, it certainly appealed to both men and women alike. So it’s no surprise that GQ named Wiig ‘Bro of the Year’. Jon Hamm, her handsome ‘Bridesmaids’ costar, as well as her husband in ‘Friends with Kids’, wrote up the award’s dedication.

“For a lot of comics, there’s a persona they’re not comfortable revealing unless they’re performing,” Hamm writes. “Kristen is incredibly shy; she has her hoodie pulled up and her sleeves pulled over her hands. But this is a woman who wore coconuts on her tits on SNL; she can go to the craziest, most grotesque places on the planet in character.”

In the dedication Jon talks about his interesting sex scene with Kristen in ‘Bridesmaids’:

“Bounding around in a flesh-colored thong, trying not to sweat all over Kristen while a hundred crew members are literally like, ‘Can we get this done, please?’–our embarrassment coupled with everyone else’s exhaustion lent that scene a particularly awkward sensibility.”

In my opinion, Kristen’s perfect for this award! Love her!

Blake Lively rocks a see-through dress at the ‘Gossip Girl’ 100th Episode party!

Blake Lively turned heads on Saturday when she showed up at the ‘Gossip Girl’ 100th episode party wearing a see-through gown, by Marchesa. (Are you as surprised as I am that ‘Gossip Girl’ has lasted this long!?)

I’m kind of surprised she didn’t wear Chanel, since she’s the face of the clothing line.

Leighton Meester looks pretty – but Blake certainly steels the show. Even if you’re not a fan of Blake’s dress, it’s certainly more interesting that Leightons.

Also pictured: the boys of ‘Gossip Girl’, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chase Crawford. Costars Kelly Rutherford & Michelle Trachtenberg were also on hand.

Diablo Cody is working on a ‘Sweet Valley High’ movie!

While promoting her new movie, ‘Young Adult’, Oscar-winner Diablo Cody opened up about one of her next projects: bringing the beloved YA series “Sweet Valley High” to the big screen.

“I want it to be wonderfully nostalgic,” Cody told Indiewire. “I want it to be to the ’80s what ‘American Graffiti’ was to the [early] ’60s. I want it to be looking back on a really cool time and enjoying yourself and I want it to be glamorous and colorful and bubblegum and a feast for the senses. That’s my plan.”

With its first release in 1983, the series, which was overseen by Francine Pascal and written by ghostwriters, published over 150 books, including an adulthood follow up this year. It produced a TV show, which ran from 1994-97, but never a feature film. Cody, however, is uniquely positioned to pen a winning adaptation.

I can’t wait to see ‘Young Adult’, I think it looks great. (Watch the trailer here) If anyone should turn ‘Sweet Valley High’ into a movie, it’s Cody. She’s incredibly talented!

Attention Leonardo DiCaprio fans — we finally have our first clear shots of the hunk as mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, and he looks incredible!

Donning a white three-piece suit and carrying a thin cane, Leo looked dashing on the Australian set of “The Great Gatsby” on Friday. Also spotted: Carey Mulligan sporting cropped, blonde hair and a purple flapper-esque dress as Daisy Buchanan, and Leo’s real-life BFF Tobey Maguire in a green sweater and bowtie as Midwestern, Yale grad Nick Caraway.

“The Great Gatsby” marks the first time that Leo has reunited with flashy director Baz Luhrmann since the pair worked together on 1996’s highly-stylized version of “Romeo + Juliet.” Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher also star in the much-anticipated flick, which will hit theaters Christmas Day, 2012.

Ryan Dunn Remembered By ‘Jackass’ Friends in MTV Special

Jackass star Ryan Dunn died in a car accident this past June, leaving friends and family distraught and searching for answers. What has since been ruled a drunk driving accident, Ryan will now be remembered by his friends and castmates in an upcoming MTV Special that will chronicle his life in Ohio with Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew.

The special will also feature never-aired footage from Viva la Bam and Jackass. Johnny Knoxville talked about the special, saying:

“I still can’t believe he’s gone but we wouldn’t trust anyone else with this, so we are doing the best we can for Ryan, his family, friends, and everyone who loved him,” he said.

“He was willing to do whatever it takes [to make people laugh],” [Bam] Margera, 32, said of Dunn. “[He was] fearless, self-deprecating…I think we liked hearing people say that we’re crazy.”

Ryan was driving his Porsche 911 GT3 at 130 miles an hour with a blood alcohol level of .196 when he crashed his car. He wasn’t the only person who died in the accident, his friend Zachary Hartwell also lost his life.

The “Ryan Dunn Tribute Special” will air Nov. 28 at 10:30 p.m. EST on MTV.
