Kat Dennings is almost unrecognizable in GQ!

Kat Dennings is on one of CBS’ biggest hits right now. The star of ’2 Broke Girls’, admits she’s a big strange.

Dennings, the sassy, alt-rebel half of CBS’ hit sitcom “2 Broke Girls,” tries to explain her fast-talking self in a new interview with GQ. The weird thing comes up, of course; it always does. Like this interview with Collider; this interview with Philly Mag; and declares it on her blog, over and over.

“I don’t think I’m a weirdo in a bad way, there’s just a lot going on in my head,” she tells the magazine. Another thing she tells the magazine: she is not quirky.

“I hate that damn word! Quirky is what a guy would call a girl he doesn’t understand.”

As the latest hip dream girl, sort of caustic Zooey Deschanel, she’s no doubt heard that term a lot. Based on the attitude she puts forth in “2 Broke Girls,” you probably shouldn’t use it around her. Then again, even she says it’s hard to understand her.

Robert Pattinson on Kristen Stewart: “We are already married”

When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got married in ‘Breaking Dawn: Part 1′, they used a real priest, so according to Robert, they “are already married”!

“The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest. So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony,” Pattinson, 25, joked during a press conference in Stockholm, Sweden Friday. “So we don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married.”

The comment was surprising, given that Stewart, 21, only recently (and accidentally) confirmed her years-long relationship with Pattinson during an interview with British GQ.

Pattinson, who was joined by costar Ashley Greene at the press conference, also spoke candidly about the film’s bed-breaking, pillow-biting honeymoon romp.

“The sex scenes were difficult. The set was crazy and you have about 20 people in the room and someone saying things like: ‘No, Bella would not have made that noise. Can we do it again?’”

“It was very charged, but a very tender and sentimental scene. It’s not a scene from the book, so everyone was nervous about doing it right,” he explained. “A ton of other people were nervous. And, Kristen and I were both worried about the shape of our bodies would look on camera. We felt vulnerable.”

Pattinson added that he likes how Stewart’s character “is the one who initiates the sex. It’s a different move and I like that it’s not so predictable. Bella is already pushing for it in the movie and it’s Edward that seems scared.”

“I’ve never been able to relate to that fear of sex or sexuality. It’s funny that all three movies portray sex as something scary and then, when they have sex in the fourth movie, they have a child with really rather devastating consequences,” he said. “I’m not sure what they are trying to say. . .never have sex with anyone ever?”

I can’t wait to see the movie. I know it has a very good chance at sucking….but I’ll probably like it anyway.

Britney Spears performs in London, and BOMBS: “She can’t dance, she doesn’t even pretend to sing.”

Britney Spears performed last night at the 02 Arena in London, and according to one scathing review from the Telegraph, the concert was one giant mess. Here’s part of their scathing review:

Is this what passes for live pop entertainment in the 21st century? Despite the usual vast video screens, giant props, costume changes, lasers, pyrotechnics, dry ice, salacious dance routines and thundering sound system, this was the saddest, laziest, dullest and most tawdry pop concert I have ever witnessed.

The most amazing thing about the whole second-rate spectacle was that thousands of people, having forked out around £50 a head for tickets, practically raised the roof, cheering every dismal dance move, roaring for lip-synched vocals and lustily applauding limp erotica. The tour labours under the faux-sophisticated title “Femme Fatale”, but it’s more of a femme fatality.

At the heart of this disaster is a vacancy, and it is Britney herself. It is as if, during a decade of extreme fame, including a very public breakdown, substance abuse and ill-judged affairs, something has been beaten out of her. She is dead-eyed, barely makes an effort, and in merciless close-up, on those giant video screens, seems oddly unsure of herself, like a chorus girl who has been pushed to the front of the stage.

Looking just a little bit chunky in a range of bikinis, she skips lazily around, making no visible effort, just hitting her mark while 18 scantily clad dancers throw themselves acrobatically about in a vain attempt to cover her ungainliness.

She has no grace at all, sticking to about three basic moves: an awkward butt thrust, a clumsy hip wiggle, and a jerky fist punch, all accompanied by a simpering, eager-to-please smile.

She can’t dance, and doesn’t even bother pretending to sing. This is the most fake, processed live music show since, well, Britney’s last tour. In contrast to the huge troupe of dancers, there are just two alleged musicians onstage, pushing keyboard buttons, while full-scale recorded techno pop pumps out. Walls of Auto-Tuned harmonies appear without the aid of a single backing vocalist: but then, why bother with that masquerade when even the star is obviously miming?

Only during a ballad, Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know, performed while seated on an elevated swing, does Britney obviously contribute a live vocal – and it is atrocious: croaky, sharp, nasal and wobbly.

Why would anyone continue to care about such a useless performer, so obviously ill-at-ease with her trade? Well, she’s got big hits, and every time she pulls them out, the mood elevates. Yet Britney’s insecurity is exemplified by the way she prematurely cuts her trademark song Baby One More Time at the second chorus, only to do a cover of Rihanna’s hit S&M instead.

Inviting comparison with a more talented rival is disastrous. Rihanna can actually sing, and dance, and makes an effort to connect with her audience, which might explain why she has sold out 10 nights at the O2, while Britney failed to completely sell out one.

Yet the faithful just don’t seem to care. In thrall to the power of her image and fame, they treat each glorified mime routine as if it were the greatest show on earth.

Ok – actually I went ahead and posted the whole review. That was awful! I feel bad for Britney – and then again – I don’t. I can’t imagine ever going to see a show where the performer isn’t actually singing. Why would I pay to watch someone lip sync?

Here are pictures of Britney’s performance last night.

PICS: Jenny McCarthy arriving at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood

I am not a fan of this dress at all… but what do you think? It almost looks like the start of a pirate Halloween costume.

But what do I know? *wink*
