What do you think of the song and video? Those of you who know me, know I’m not a huge Beyonce fan. I don’t know what it is – I just find her (and 80% of her songs) incredibly annoying. I found this video to be very annoying. It’s too all over the place for me.
Charlize Theron, who won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in “Monster,” stars in the Diablo Cody-written, Jason Reitman-directed “Young Adult,” a black comedy with a dark horse chance at prestige season glory. Playing a young adult novel author who, down and out, returns to her hometown to try and win back her high school boyfriend (Patrick Wilson). Problem is, he’s married, has a kid and is quite content with his life, making them the polar opposites at this point in their lives.
As she throws back shots and flails at love, she becomes closer with a former high school geek played by Patton Oswalt. Disheveled, wry and slightly depressed, he looks like he could be a scene stealer here.
The film, due out on December 9th, will be Theron’s first film out in theaters since 2009′s “The Road.” She’ll star next year in “Prometheus” and then as the Evil Queen in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
According to sources, Lady Gaga is in talks with Queen guitarist Brian May to take over as lead singer of the band!
Original frontman Freddie Murcury died in 1991, and after that, Paul Rogers was lead singer for five years.
The collaboration ended in 2009 and now the rockers are looking for another singer to complete their line-up so they can go back on the road.
May is hoping Gaga, whose stage name is inspired by their hit song Radio Ga Ga, will accept an offer to sing for them.
He tells Britain’s Daily Express, “We talk about going out on the road all the time but there’s a bit of a singer problem to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material.”
The musician is also considering bringing in several guest vocalists to give renditions of Queen’s hit tracks as part of a TV show: “We have talked about doing duets with other people and in a strange way I almost pressed the yes button. We were debating the idea of a TV show where we have all these guest stars. We didn’t press it today but we are still looking at it. Lady Gaga has said she would like to do something with us.”
I think it would be great. It would be something totally different!

I won’t make a joke about finding Carmen San Diego.
Evan Rachel Wood, George Clooney and Marisa Tomei walked the red carpet last night at the The New York screening of “The Ides of March” held at the Ziegfeld Theater.
Evan wore a red leather dress by Gucci. What do you think?
Here’s our first look at Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen and Lily Collins as Snow White! No, this isn’t the Snow White that Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron are currently working on. That movie will be darker. This movie looks more like a family film.
Julia Roberts: America’s Sweetheart embraces her inner bad girl in the upcoming still-untitled fantasy, which puts a dark twist on the beloved fairy tale. “Everybody knows Julia’s smile and the sound of her laugh, and she really brings that out and takes advantage of that and uses it in a different way for her version of the Evil Queen,” says Lily Collins (The Blind Side), who plays Snow White. “She used her magic and turned her smile and laugh into a creepy way.”
Lily Collins: In this scene, Snow White shows up uninvited to a party. Unaware that it’s a costume ball, the plucky heroine improvises a costume: “When she comes, she is just wearing white. Some dishes at the ball are being served on a swan. She basically throws the food out of the swan head and puts it on her head so she can mix with the crowd,” says director Tarsem Singh. Academy Award-winning costume designer Eiko Ishioka did the costumes for the film.
The Seven Dwarves: “I wanted to make something exciting of these dwarfs,” says Singh, adding that these are not the dwarfs audiences are used to seeing. “These guys always travel around on stilts that make them like 9 feet tall. In this film they’re basically raiders that steal things from people that pass by their road.”
Snow White & The Queen: “We’d be shooting and she’s being extremely horrible to me, and once they yell cut, the first thing she says to me is, ‘Are you okay? I’m sorry, I hate being mean to you,’” Collins says of Roberts. “You forget that’s really Julia because she’s so good.”
Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott: Director Singh thinks The Social Network actor is uniquely qualified to play the royal role: “If you had to draw a prince, you’d probably draw Armie. He looks like a prince,” Singh says. “In real life he can be dark, he can be funny, he can be anything. I needed all that baggage to come with it. He was the perfect guy.”
Nathan Lane as Brighton: “Brighton is the Queen’s henchman, who she sends to kill Snow White. He really does nothing bad ever, so of course he is the wrong person to send to go do it,” says director Singh, whose film fantasy is expected to hit theaters next March.
